Taraba governor disassociates from accusations of involvement in LG election rigging scheme
Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas has declared that he does not intend to intimidate the opposition political parties in the state’s upcoming local government poll.
In response to claims that his administration is plotting to sabotage the upcoming local government elections, he made the declaration on Tuesday.
The governor asked the public to reject the claims in a statement provided to media in Jalingo, the state capital, through his Special Advisor for Media and Digital Communications, Emmanuel Bello.

“The ABC is suffering from a severe case of Post Defeat Trauma Syndrome (PDTS),” he declared.
“The APC is discussing about the PDP’s internal programmes when it isn’t griping about a private dinner that was conducted in Abuja. This is undoubtedly not the way to engage in opposition or keep the government accountable.
He promised to give all candidates, regardless of their political party affiliations, an even playing field.
“The same reasons people failed in the past—a deep-seated internal crisis and a lack of preparation—will apply to anyone who loses the upcoming election,” he declared.
“APC is already afraid of an impending defeat in the upcoming polls because it has failed to win over the public and is feeling the heat from its inability to organise and prepare.”
The governor urged the APC to focus on its internal problems and keep the first family out of its problems, claiming to be a democrat.
