Journalists were reportedly denied access to Tureta’s arraignment at Magistrate Court 1 on Monday, allegedly due to the order of trial judge Fati Hassan.
The attorney representing Al-Mustafa Abubakar stated to reporters that Tureta refuted the accusations and submitted a verbal request for release on bail.
According to the lawyer, the judge postponed their decision on the bail application until September 6th, 2024 and ordered that the accused be held in correctional custody.
