Following his nomination, Adelami, a retired deputy clerk to the national assembly, was previously approved by the Ondo State House of Assembly last week.

According to Obasanjo News24, Owolabi Adelami was nominated by Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as his deputy on January 24.

Adelami’s nomination was made just six hours after the State Executive Council, or SEC, was disbanded by the state governor.

Adelami, a relative of the late former governor Oluwarotimi, declared following his inauguration that he was prepared to collaborate with the new governor to further the growth and advancement of the state.

He claims that he and his employer would work with a range of stakeholders to address important problems and pursue projects that will improve the welfare of the populace.

Adelami went on to say that since Aiyedatiwa took office as governor a few weeks ago, the state had made progress.
