Ayo Fayose, a former governor of Ekiti State, responded to his expulsion from the PDP, the main opposition party.
The party had announced the suspension of Fayose, Pius Anyim, and other party members in a statement on Thursday night due to suspected anti-party conduct.
Fayose responded to the news by calling the NWC’s action “the last kick of a dying horse.”
Senator Iyorchia Ayu, the party’s national chairman, will be ousted in a matter of days, according to the former governor.
Via his spokesperson Lere Olayinka, Fayose responded to the suspension, saying that “Ayu and his cronies are just amusing themselves with the supposed suspension as their newest comedy routine.”
He asserted that the PDP and its members will experience a fresh lease of life and that the disgraceful reign of Ayu as the party’s chairman would soon become history.
According to Fayose, the PDP would be rescued once more and given new life in due course by him and other party stalwarts who remained by it when Atiku and his cronies abandoned it to perish.
