Several Nigerians suspected of being associated with the Black Axe cult have been arrested by Swiss police. They have been accused of trafficking cocaine and a sum amounting to €45,000 has also been seized from them.
As a component of the worldwide initiative known as “Operation Jackal III,” this operation endeavors to impede alleged organized criminal factions in West Africa.
Assisting in the identification of criminal activities and suspects, INTERPOL aided this initiative by granting instant access to its databases.

According to The Guardian, several criminal organizations were disbanded worldwide and numerous arrests made as well as a $3 million worth of asset seizures in Operation Jackal III.
From April 10 to July 3, the operation covered five continents and encompassed a total of 21 countries with its main focus on exposing online financial fraud activities and bringing down West African criminal organizations involved in these fraudulent schemes.
The yearly campaign resulted in the apprehension of 300 persons, detection of over 400 more suspects, and immobilization of beyond 720 bank accounts.
