According to the IRNA news agency, Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, has praised the resolve of the nation’s armed forces following the recent attack on targets in Israel.
During a meeting with military commanders in Tehran, Khamenei expressed gratitude for the success of ‘Operation True Promise’ and emphasized the importance of military innovation. He urged the officers to prioritize the development of new weapons, tactics, and knowledge of the enemy’s strategies.
Khamenei also acknowledged the sacrifices made by the families of the commanders and all soldiers, recognizing the challenges faced by their wives and children. Earlier this month, Tehran launched a retaliatory attack on Israel in response to the bombing of the Iranian consulate in Damascus.
While Israel has not officially claimed responsibility for the bombing, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant hinted at their involvement, stating that Israel strikes its enemies throughout the Middle East.
In a recent escalation, reports emerged of Israel striking targets in Iran, resulting in explosions in Isfahan. However, Iran’s foreign minister downplayed the significance of the attack, describing it as minor and involving primitive hardware.
