A record number of votes will be cast for Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, and Yusuf Datti, his vice presidential candidate, in the 2023 elections, according to party supporters in Katsina State.
On Wednesday, they made the pledge while the Obi/Datti Contact and Mobilisation Team in the state inaugurated local government campaign coordinators in the Funtua Local Government Area.
The general elections in 2023 are fewer than 72 days away from the campaign team’s inauguration.
The goal, according to Ibrahim Sani, Assistant Secretary of the Obi/Datti Contact and Mobilization Team, was to increase support for Obi and his running companion, Yusuf Datti, in the election.
He clarified that in order to achieve success, the newly appointed campaign coordinators are expected to rally greater support for the Labour Party throughout the state.
Halima Usman, one of the coordinators, promised to organize women in every corner of the state to produce a surplus of votes for the LP.
Earlier in his speech, Umaru Akama Shirwa, the chairman of the Obi/Datti Contact and Mobilization Team, criticized the APC’s Muslim-Muslim ticket and claimed that Nigeria belonged to everyone, regardless of their ethnicity, religion, or location.
However, he asked party followers to refrain from arguing or fighting with anyone because, in his opinion, politics is all about interests.
Voting for Peter Obi is required because he chose a running mate from Kaduna State who has been involved in charitable endeavors and has helped people in both the North and the South.
He was confident that we will prevail in the upcoming elections given the caliber of those present.
