Super Falcons maintain their 45th-place FIFA standing
The Super Falcons of Nigeria remained in 45th place in the most recent FIFA/Coca-Cola Women’s World Ranking.
The most recent rankings were made public on Friday by FIFA, the organization that governs soccer worldwide.
It represents the final FIFA rankings for 2022.
The Super Falcons have had a difficult year after losing their African championship against the South African Banyana Banyana in the summer.
The team led by Randy Waldrum has lost each of its last five games.
United States of America, the defending world champions, kept the top spot despite winning just one of their previous four games.
Sweden dropped to third place, and Germany rose to the second spot.
The final two teams in the top five in the world are England and France.
On March 24, 2023, the FIFA/Coca-Cola Women’s World Ranking will be released.
