Finidi George, the head coach of the Super Eagles, has dismissed rumors of a strained relationship between him and some of the team’s stars.
Reports had suggested that Finidi had fallen out with Ademola Lookman and Sadiq Umar during the friendlies against Ghana and Mali in March.
Lookman appeared as a substitute in both matches, while Umar did not play at all.
However, the 53-year-old coach has stated that he maintains a cordial relationship with all his players.

He emphasized that he has always had a good rapport with the team, even when he was an assistant coach.
Now, as the head coach, he believes there will be no controversy regarding his relationships with the players.
Finidi also highlighted the importance of treating the players professionally and providing them with the same standards they are accustomed to in Europe, without resorting to physical aggression for not meeting expectations.
