Victor Osimhen, the Super Eagles striker, is facing allegations of punching a journalist during an evening outing in Istanbul, Turkey.
Osimhen is presently playing for Galatasaray on loan from Napoli.
The incident occurred when Osimhen was departing an entertainment venue with his friends.
As reported by Posta Newspaper, journalist Tolga Bozduman and a group of reporters attempted to photograph the Nigerian.
However, the situation soon spiraled into chaos.
Bozduman stated, “I recorded Osimhen at the door with three of my colleagues.”
As soon as the flashes went off, chaos erupted. He charged towards me, yelling loudly. He attempted to grab my camera, but I refused to let go.
“The punch he threw struck me in the head, and my right side still aches. Afterward, he began shouting profanities.”
He then proposed, “Destroy the footage and I’ll pay you.” When I declined, he threatened me by saying, “I’ll ruin you.”
Bozduman’s allegations have not yet been officially addressed by either Osimhen or Galatasaray.
