Super Eagles star Peter Olayinka has had successful surgery, offering a hopeful outlook for the player’s rehabilitation and return to the game.
Nigerian forward, Peter Olayinka, faces an extended period out of action following a successful surgery to address his Achilles tendon injury.
Last week, Olayinka was substituted in Red Star Belgrade’s UEFA Champions League match against AS Monaco due to an injury.
Red Star Belgrade have now confirmed that he underwent surgery following the setback.
“Peter Olayinka underwent a successful surgery in Finland performed by a renowned doctor, following an Achilles tendon injury sustained from a blow during a match in Monaco,” the club announced in a statement.
Everything proceeded smoothly, and we’re now in the post-operative phase before we can estimate when Zvezda’s football player will be back. We wish him a swift recovery and hope to see him on the field soon!
The striker is anticipated to be sidelined for approximately six to nine months.
He has netted two goals and provided two assists in his six league appearances for Red Star Belgrade this season.
