Zimbabwe, a potential opponent for Nigeria in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying round, has named Brazilian Baltemar Brito as their new head coach.
On Thursday, the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) announced the news on their X Twitter.
Genesis Mangombe and Bongani Mafu will support Brito.
The first task for the 71-year-old will be the friendly match against Botswana on September 30.
The former defender will work for both the national team and Highlanders of the Zimbabwe Premier League.
On November 17 in Harare, a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier between the Harambe Warriors and the Super Eagles will take place.
