Super Eagles begin training for their match against Sao Tome on September 4

On Monday, September 4, the Super Eagles’ training camp will begin in Uyo ahead of their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Sao Tome & Principe.

On Sunday, September 9, the game is scheduled to take place at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.

This week, head coach Jose Peseiro is anticipated to reveal his lineup for the contest.

The Super Eagles have already secured a position in Group A of the 2023 AFCON finals.

The group’s bottom-placed team, Sao Tome and Principe, has no chance of making the tournament.

Out of five games, the West Africans have one tie and four losses.

In the other group match, Sierra Leone and Guinea-Bissau will square off.

The 2023 AFCON will be held in Cote d’Ivoire from January 13 to February 11.
