Public leaks have revealed the Super Eagles’ 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tentative roster.
Jose Peseiro, the head coach, put 40 players on the provisional list, per an ACL Sports report.
The goalkeepers Stanley Nwabili, Christian Nwoke, and Alhassan Yusuf are among the newcomers on the list.

By January 3, 2024, Peseiro will have to reduce the roster to 27 players.
Group A’s hosts, Cote d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea-Bissau are drawn alongside the Super Eagles.
On January 14, the three-time winners will play their first game at the Alhassan Quattara Stadium in Ebimpe, Abidjan, against Equatorial Guinea.
