Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, the beleaguered Yoruba Nation agitator, has lost his mother.

Mrs Adeyemo died on Saturday evening, according to Olayomi Koiki, Igboho’s spokeswoman.

In a message on his Instagram page, Igboho confirmed her death, saying, “My heart is heavy.” In this convoluted world, I’m all alone. Who would I turn to, Mama Mi? It’s difficult for me to say good-by.

“Death’s cold hands took you.” It wriggles out of its dark depths and grabs you. This is just too much for me.”

According to Obasanjonews24, Igboho was apprehended by Interpol in July 2021 at Cadjèhoun Airport in Cotonou, Benin Republic, after being proclaimed sought by the Department of State Services, DSS, for reportedly stockpiling weapons at his Ibadan apartment.

Igboho, who was released in March 2022 on the condition that he not leave the West African country, has remained imprisoned to Cotonou, the capital of the Benin Republic.
