Sunday Igboho arrives in Germany and rejoins his family
After over two years of house arrest and confinement in Cotonou, the capital of the Benin Republic, the Yoruba nation agitator was released on Sunday Igboho.
However, the Oyo State-born activist arrived in Hamburg, Germany, on Monday and immediately started spending time with his wife and kids.
Igboho said he is free to return to Nigeria or travel to any other nation of his choice because he has complied with all legal requirements for his bail in an interview with the Nigerian Tribune.
“I am now free to travel wherever in the world and return to Nigeria. I recently completed all the legal requirements for my bail, and I’m about to return to my native Nigeria.

“I can assure you that I am now free to return to Nigeria. There is no longer any legal restriction. Although I have lived in Cotonou for a while, I can certainly state that I now have the freedom to travel to Nigeria,” he stated.
Igboho praised everyone who had helped him during his ordeal and confinement in Benin, praising in particular those like Professor Banji Akintoye, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, and Chief Ayo Adebanjo.
Oba Tejuoso, Kabiesi Oba Tosin Oni Bariga of Bariga, Oba Francis Olushola Alao, Oni Kenta of Orile Kenta, Olugbon of the Ugbo kingdom, Oba Fredrick Akinruntan Obateru, and other Yoruba monarchs were also thanked for their support while he was in Cotonou.
