The movement of students from Sudan has been updated by the Nigerian government.
The trapped students have begun travelling, according to Abike Dabiri-Erewa, chairperson of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NiDCOM.
The evacuation of Nigerian students from Sudan caused problems, according to Obasanjonews24.
The buses transporting Nigerian students and non-students out of Sudan were reportedly stopped in the middle of the Sahara desert, according to a viral video.
The drivers allegedly refused to continue the trip because they had not been paid, according to a voice narrating the situation in the video.
Dabiri responded to the situation by stating that the problems have been fixed and that the buses have started to go.
Dabiri tweeted, “Just talked to @nemanigeria. They have resumed their movement. Whatever problems they had were fixed.
