As a result of the elimination of the fuel subsidy, President Bola Tinubu has pleaded with Nigerians to exercise patience while promising to develop palliatives to ease their suffering.
After the class of 1999 Governors met behind closed doors in the Council Chamber of the Aso Villa in Abuja, the Chairman of the group, Lucky Igbinedion of Edo State, delivered the president’s message.
In his remarks to State House reporters, the former governor, who spoke of the President’s desire to build a better country, declared that the subsidy issue is resolved for good and expressed hope that things would return to normal soon.
The group’s chairman added that it was important for everyone to pitch in to build a stronger country because the problems go beyond partisan politics.
