Strategies to tackle banditry and insecurity in northern Nigeria- Umara Zulum

In a keynote speech at the 10th Annual Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Lecture and Merit Award on Saturday in Maiduguri, Governor of Borno State Babagana Umara Zulum proposed the idea.

“Creating Pathways for Peace: Tackling Banditry and Insurgency through Good Governance for Sustainable Development” was the theme Zulum addressed.

He said the theme was timely and relevant.

It draws attention to the difficulties we have encountered throughout time, especially in the wake of the Boko Haram situation. He continued, “It is clear that effective governance is essential to putting an end to future insurgencies.
