Stonebwoy featured on Glo-sponsored African Voices Playmakers

Stonebwoy, the renowned Ghanaian afropop and reggae singer, recently appeared on the popular magazine programme of the Cable News Network (CNN), African Voices Playmakers, which is sponsored by Glo.

Born as Livingstone Etse Satekla in 1988 in Ashaiman, Accra, Stonebwoy has made a significant impact in the music industry as the CEO of Burniton Music Group.

Stonebwoy’s musical journey began during his early school days, where he discovered his exceptional talents as a lyricist and scriptwriter.

Even in primary school, he showcased his creativity by writing and acting in drama pieces.

His dedication and passion for music led him to release his latest album, 5th Dimension, in collaboration with Def Jam recordings, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to his craft.

Stonebwoy’s remarkable talent has not gone unnoticed, as he has received numerous awards and accolades throughout his career.

Notably, he was honored at the 2015 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards and emerged victorious in the Africa category at the 2015 BET Awards.

Additionally, he achieved significant milestones by earning two Billboard plaques and the prestigious Golden Club plaque from Boomplay after surpassing 100 million streams on the platform.

In recognition of his achievements, Stonebwoy was listed as one of the 50 young CEOs by YCEO and Avance media in 2019, further solidifying his status as a prominent figure in the music industry.

African Voices Playmakers will be broadcasting Stonebwoy’s captivating interview on CNN today, Saturday, at 7.30 a.m., with a repeat airing at 11 a.m.
