Star of FC Zurich Mathew is eager to represent the Super Eagles

Ifeanyi Mathew is hoping to play for the Super Eagles after an impressive season with FC Zurich in Switzerland.

This season, the former Flying Eagles midfielder has been among the surprises in the Swiss top division.

In six league games this season for the team, the 26-year-old has one goal and one assist.

Mathew, who has previously played for the Super Eagles of his country, is eager to join the team in the near future.

“I really feel that I can make a significant contribution to the Super Eagles. Austin Jay Okocha Okocha excelled as a player for the Super Eagles. Growing up, all of us aspired to be like him and other elite midfielders, Matthew said.

“Even though I’m not Okocha, I think I can help the Super Eagles,”
