Enoh further advised Jose Peseiro’s team to put social media aside for the time being as they get ready to play Cameroon in the AFCON last-16 on Saturday.
The Minister addressed the Super Eagles players and coaches on Wednesday during a Zoom meeting.
“Please pay attention to Jose Peseiro, the coach.” Maintain your focus by keeping your eyes fixed on the ball. I will further propose that at a period like this forget about social media. Give up even checking your WhatsApp messages in order to maintain focus. Enoh stated, “You are going to see a lot of comments from Nigerians who are too happy to see you keep winning.
Thus, avoid being sidetracked, stay concentrated, and exploit this competition to establish more reputations for yourself. Think about what it would be like to win our fourth AFCON and be remembered in sports history as the young men that accomplished a fantastic feat for our nation by winning the AFCON four times. It’s going to be a moment to remember.
“We play Cameroon in our next game, and I think we should use every game to get better and better.”
