John Enoh, Nigeria’s minister of sports, shared his thoughts on Victor Osimhen, the forward for Napoli, and his outburst.
In his social media message, Osimhen disparaged Finidi George, the former head coach of the Super Eagles.
According to Enoh, he gave the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) the instruction to remain silent on the issue.
The minister also made a suggestion that he had given the NFF instructions to consult Osimhen before making a judgement.

“There are a lot of different perspectives on this,” he stated on Eagle7 FM Radio.
“Osimhen is a low, but he’s a Trojan for Nigeria.”
“I instructed the NFF to hold off on making a statement until after they had spoken with Osimhen.
“This is particularly true given that we have a lot on our plate and that these are not the best of times for Nigerian football.”
“The NFF must maintain focus and avoid distractions.”
