Igbos would be taken care of if Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress, APC, is elected, according to Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State.

On Wednesday in Abuja, he provided the guarantee when officially opening the Ebonyi Governor’s Lodge.

Umahi gave Tinubu his word that the APC will win the South-East in 2023.

The guarantee, according to him, reflected the position of other South-East governors.

The governor also assured Tinubu that the State will host a sizable presidential campaign rally.

“Therefore, we cordially invite Asiwaju and the governors to Ebonyi State for the grandest of gatherings.
When you arrive, Your Excellency, you will witness what an engineer is capable of.

“We are not hiding to state that you are our candidate, and that all of our votes will be cast for the APC. You will look out for the interests of South-East people.” There is no misunderstanding there.

“Now that we’ve talked, South Easterners. I speak on their behalf since I am the Chairman of the South-East Governors’ Forum,” he stated.

In 2023, the Governor predicted that the South-East will continue to support the APC because “it would be better for us.”
