Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for president, warned corporate and political leaders in the South-East to risk their own interests by ignoring Imo Governor Hope Uzodimma.
At a town hall meeting with South-East private sector leaders, including manufacturers, investors, merchants, entrepreneurs, and artisans, Tinubu addressed on Thursday in Owerri.
He urged on Nigerians to work with him and the APC to deliver wealth and fresh hope to the nation while expressing his satisfaction with Uzodimma’s developmental advancements.
All people of good will were urged by Tinubu to vote for advancement, participate in the nation’s bright future, and never allow those who have regressed the nation to return.
In contrast to perpetual moping, Tinubu emphasized that Nigerians have the resources and ability to advance.
“I’m not here to be the people’s boss; I’m here to serve the people.
I introduced progressive administration and leadership that is focused on the future, not the kind that will drag Nigerians backwards, he claimed.
Invoking his promise to provide a conducive climate for their firms to thrive if elected president, Tinubu urged the business sector to continue supporting him.
We’ll create a code that, when used, would make it simple for them to transport their goods and services over Nigerian highways, he added.
Uzodimma stated in his remarks that the town hall meeting was held in order for the business leaders to discuss some of the difficulties and problems they were experiencing in their enterprises so that adjustments might be included in the APC candidate’s platform.
Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, the national chairman of the APC, added that he had come as a witness to what the South-East stakeholders gathering of businessmen and women with their presidential candidate would accomplish with the interaction.
The meeting, he said, was “organized for a unique people, the business group who are the major drivers of the nation’s economy,” and he described it as strategic.
According to PlatinumPost, the meeting was also attended by Plateau Governor Simon Lalong and a representative from Ebonyi.
