The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has received praise from the governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, for the early start of voting in the state.
Governor Soludo presented the commendation soon after the 11:30 a.m. vote at Polling Unit 002 Ovuiyi Umueze, Isuofia, Aguata Council Area.
“I have sampled opinions from around the state based on the information at my disposal, and things appear to be moving quite smoothly in terms of the deployment of logistics and the early start of the poll.

In terms of the delivery and distribution of materials, I believe there has been a significant improvement since the previous election. Everything appears to be proceeding successfully and is rather calm, said Governor Soludo.
The Governor urged the people of ndi Anambra to vote, saying that voter participation was lower than in the previous election but that he was optimistic that the people’s will would triumph.
Anyone in the voting line by 2:00 p.m. will be able to cast a ballot, and their vote will be counted. The Governor said, “We anticipate a flourishing conclusion to the results compilation and release.
