Abdullahi Maruff Adisa, better known by his stage name Trinityguy, was remanded in custody by the Oyo State Magistrate Court in Iyaganku, Ibadan, for allegedly sexually harassing a youngster in his widely renowned skit video.
Following a viral video of the skit maker’s risky pranks, the Nigerian Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, demanded the skit maker’s arrest last week.
The creator of the skit and the parent of the young girl featured in the popular video were questioned by the Oyo State Police Command, according to a statement released on Friday, and they will appear in court on Monday, June 26, 2023.
Oludare Adebayo, the defendant’s attorney, appeared before the magistrate and begged the judge to release his client on bond.
While denying the bail request, Magistrate PO Adetuyibi stated that the state ministry of justice is now looking into the allegations against the skit maker.
However, the court mandated that Trinity Guy and the parents of the young girl in the video remain in custody until the next hearing.
As a result, July 11 was set as the new date by Magistrate Adetuyibi.
