Six political parties come together in Kaduna in 2027 to overthrow APC

Six political parties gathered in Kaduna State to strategize on defeating the ruling All Progressives Congress in the upcoming 2027 general elections.

The summit, organized by the African Democratic Congress, focused on the importance of a strong political party structure for the sustainability of democracy.

Participating parties included the New Nigeria People’s Party, the People’s Redemption Party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, the Social Democratic Party, the KOWA Party, as well as the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), and the Coalition of United Political Parties.

Lawal Nalado, the summit’s chairman, highlighted the severe challenges faced by Nigerians nationwide, emphasizing the need to address these issues collectively.

He clarified that the meeting was not intended for a merger or coalition but rather to discuss solutions to the country’s problems.

Nalado stressed the importance of mobilizing voters at the grassroots level and educating them on the significance of voting for competent candidates to improve society’s social and economic conditions.

Falalu Bello, the National Chairman of PRP, emphasized the necessity of effectively mobilizing voters and not just fielding credible candidates to secure election victories.

He pointed out issues like inadequate resources, lack of internal democracy, and interference by the ruling party as challenges faced by opposition parties.

Ahmed Tujjani, the chairman of ADC and IPAC in Kaduna State, expressed that the summit aimed to address socio-economic and political challenges faced by parties, with the goal of providing practical solutions to these issues.
