Sirika reports that Nigerian Air would arrive on Friday
President Muhammadu Buhari must reveal the national carrier by May 29, stressed the minister of aviation.
According to the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, a plane for Nigeria Air would arrive in the nation on Friday before operations begin.
The minister said in an exclusive interview with Channels Television that a Nigeria Air plane would touch down in the nation in two days as part of procedures to launch operations and reveal the delivery process.
In order to fulfill all the commitments made by the government in the aviation industry, he vowed that the aircraft will be launched in Nigerian flag colors.
However, he pointed out that the aerotropolis, the airport city, which is 60% finished, is the only component that is still lacking.
He claims that the foundation has been laid, and they hope to finish construction on the airport city by the next administration.
Sirika had said that Nigeria Air will begin full operations before President Muhammadu Buhari’s term ended at a stakeholder event for the aviation industry in Abuja in March.
In response to a query on the precise start date for Nigeria Air, the minister had said, “We will fly before this administration ends, before May 29th.”
The Federal Government, he said, is leaving the aviation industry in a better state than when it arrived, having completed more than 90% of the road plan for the industry.
