Nigerian singer Oxlade reveals he started singing before he could even talk. Discover more about his early musical journey and talent.
Oxlade, the Nigerian musician also known as Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman, asserts that he began to sing even before learning how to speak.
According to Oxlade, who appeared on a recent episode of the “90s Babies” podcast, his parents informed him about this.

As a child, he would sing at a faster pace than his ability to keep up with talking. He explained this phenomenon.
“Before I could even talk, I started singing,” he explained. “My parents shared with me that my love for music began before words were even formed on my tongue.”
My parents told me that I sang faster than I spoke. That’s where my talent began, or at least it feels that way to me.
