The Young Progressives Party (YPP) in Kwara State has endorsed two candidates for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and three candidates for the Social Democratic Party in the contest for seats in the National Assembly only hours before Saturday’s general elections.
Chief Dele Ogunbayo, the YPP chairman, revealed this in a statement released on Thursday in Ilorin.
He claimed that the choice was made following extensive discussion with key state and party players.
He said that the party supported Saliu Mustapha of the APC for the Kwara Central senatorial seat.
Also, Ogunbayo disclosed that the party is supporting Prof. Wale Suleiman and Adamu Manko of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for the Kwara South and Kwara North senatorial seats, respectively.
We are here to officially support the SDP’s Prof. Wale Suleiman for the Kwara South Senatorial seat, the APC’s Mallam Saliu Mustapha for the Kwara Central Senatorial seat, the SDP’s Adamu Manko for the Kwara North Senatorial seat, the APC’s Alhaji Abdulganiyu Cook-Olododo for the Ilorin-South/Ilorin-East Federal Constituency Candida
