Gbenga Ogunbote, the head coach of Shooting Stars, acknowledged that Kano Pillars caused his team difficulties in their Sunday NPFL matchup.
In the match held in Adamasingba Ibadan’s Lekan Salami Stadium, the Oluyole Warriors battled their way to a 1-0 triumph.
Kareem Ayinde’s goal in the second half of the game ended the match for both teams.

Ogunbote asserted that his team’s victory in the match was not straightforward.
“We shouldn’t have expected it to come easier than it did, but it was a good one for us,” the former Sunshine Stars and Rangers coach said on the team’s official website.
Although the coach thought his team had a chance to end the game in the first half, he said, “It’s a team that wants a point on the road. If you listen to their coach in his interview before the game, you will realise that he came for at worst a point.”
“Unfortunately, we were in too much of a rush, and we could have made the difference in the first half. Nevertheless, the fact that we secured the three points is what matters.”
The next encounter for the Ibadan club is away against Lobi Stars.
