The bill proposing an increase in salaries, allowances, and other benefits for Nigerian judiciary workers successfully passed the second reading in the upper legislative chamber on Thursday.
The Majority Leader of the Senate, Michael Bamidele Opeyemi, presented the executive bill and emphasized that it would enhance the morale of judicial officers and help combat corruption if approved.

Deputy Senate President, Jibrin Barau, commended President Bola Tinubu for submitting a bill focused on the welfare of judicial officers, acknowledging the challenges they face in expressing dissatisfaction with their wages due to the nature of their profession.
