A lawmaker, Ishaya Bakano, of Song Local Government Council of Adamawa has been killed by shooters.
A gang of armed men raged the legislator’s home in his old neighborhood, Bannga, in the early hours of Saturday, shooting his child and whisking him away prior to killing him a couple of hours later.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Adamawa Command Superintendent of Police Suleiman Nguroje, affirmed the occurrence.
As indicated by him, the security offices are doing all that could be within reach to apprehend the perpetrators and the Police are investigating the killing.
Bakano was until his demise the appointee head of Song Local Government Council. He addressed Gudu Mboi Ward in the Council.
In spite of the fact that examinations are continuous, there are hypotheses that he was killed.
His child who was shot in the process is getting treatment at an emergency clinic.
Adamawa is a state in Nigeria’s north-east locale.
Adamawa has seen various assaults and killings as of late.
The killing of Bakano is the most recent in that pattern and happens half a month after a speaker with the Adamawa state polytechnic was killed by shooters in his home in Girei Local Government of Adamawa State.
On July 6, shooters went after the home of Reverend Daniel Umaru of Church of The Brethren, Njairi in Mubi LGA shooting the pastor, killing two of his children, and abducting his 13-year-old little girl.
