The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, has directed the apprehension of two Commission officers reportedly implicated in the mistreatment of a female employee at Regional Hotel, Ojo, Lagos.
The officers were captured on video assaulting the hotel staff during an early morning operation in Lagos.
In a statement released on Thursday, the anti-corruption agency disclosed that the operation resulted in the apprehension of numerous suspects who are currently undergoing scrutiny.
Furthermore, the EFCC’s head has mandated a thorough investigation into the incident at the hotel and has pledged that appropriate disciplinary actions will be taken against any officers found responsible.
Olukoyede reassures the public that the EFCC will continue to carry out its duties professionally and in full compliance with the law.
