The death of Nick Imudia, former CEO of Konga, a prominent e-commerce company in Nigeria, is currently under investigation by the Lagos State Police Command. Imudia reportedly died by suicide at his residence in the Lekki area of Lagos State.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation has been initiated at the homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation Department in Yaba.
It was revealed that Imudia, aged 45, was at home when he contacted his brother in the United States and provided instructions on how to distribute his wealth.
The young daughter of the businessman was reportedly informed by him that he would always be there for her. Following this, our correspondent discovered that Imudia, who served as the CEO of D.light, a prominent company specializing in residential solar energy solutions, tragically took his own life by jumping from the balcony of his apartment on June 25, 2024.

The impact of his fall resulted in his death. At present, the reason behind Imudia’s decision remains unknown, leaving his family, friends, and associates in a state of shock. Imudia, originally from the Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, was previously married to the mother of his daughter, but their marriage ended due to irreconcilable differences. Imudia, a successful business executive and technology leader, was born on April 28, 1979, in the same local government area.
He obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Industrial Management from the Mikkeli Institute of Technology in Finland between 1994 and 1997. He then pursued a Master of Engineering degree in Oil and Gas Technology from Aalborg University in 2000.
In 2012, he furthered his education by earning a Master’s in Business Administration in International Business Management from the Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences.
