The meeting with the ex-military officials occurs at a time when certain legislators are allegedly scheming to appoint an interim administration.
The former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida, and the former head of state, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, were both visited by the vice president-elect, Kashim Shettima, on Thursday.
In the midst of Ramadan, Shettima, who was in Minna, the capital of the Niger State, paid tribute separately to the two past presidents of Nigeria.
