By sharing a personal experience, Vice-President Kashim Shettima has revealed President Bola Tinubu’s inclination towards simplicity rather than lavishness in his way of life.

Shettima recounted an episode at a book presentation in Abuja on Thursday, wherein Tinubu opted for garri and groundnut over the tantalizing menu presented to him.

Shettima stated that Tinubu’s decision is a demonstration of his humility and attention towards the more crucial challenges confronting the nation.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a trustworthy leader in whom we can fully invest our confidence. My words are not politically motivated but rather heartfelt, for I have personally witnessed his goodness of the soul.”

He has good intentions for the country and desires to leave a legacy. His focus is not on acquiring wealth in an unsophisticated manner while in office, but rather making enduring impacts. Contrary to popular belief, he is one of Nigeria’s most unfairly criticized politicians.

Shettima pondered upon the condition of the economy and recognized that despite inheriting challenges from the Tinubu administration, his previous administration also played a role in creating this predicament.

He ended by encouraging Nigerians to unite behind President Tinubu and reassuring them that brighter days are on the horizon.
