The Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) and the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) management teams have been asked by Vice President Kashim Shettima to concentrate on implementing the Tinubu administration’s transformation programme.
In a statement released on Friday, Mr Olusola Abiola, Director of Information for the Office of the Vice President, stated that Shettima made the contact while receiving updates on the activities of two agencies that fall under his purview.
The Vice President met with the agency heads and management staff in his office at the Presidential Villa, where they gave presentations on their mandate, in particular the difficulties they faced and how they helped the economy. This is according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Mr. Chiedu Ugbo, the NDPHC’s managing director, led the trip, while Mr. Alex Okoh, the BPE’s director general, led the delegation from the NDPHC.
Shettima, who serves as both the NDPHC Board Chairman and the head of the National Council on Privatisation, the body in charge of overseeing the BPE, assured them of her aggressive leadership.
