Shakira, a Colombian musician, has declared her love for Burna Boy, Afrobeats, and Tyla, a rising star in South Africa.
In a recent interview, the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer revealed her admiration for African music in a Rolling Stone interview.
Shakira characterised her choice in music as genuine, honest, and eclectic.

“If I had to sum up my musical taste in three words, I would say eclectic, honest, and real,” she stated.
“Anything Afrobeats is my jam. I enjoy everything Afrobeats, Burna Boy, and Tyla. However, I adore Burna dearly.
In order to create her official song for the 2010 South Africa World Cup, “Waka, Waka (This Time For Africa),” Shakira sampled the African song “Zangaléwa” by the Cameroonian band Golden Sounds.
