According to sources close to the deputy governor, several renovations have not been made to the new office.
Philip Shuaibu, the Deputy Governor of Edo State, has started the process of moving his office away from the Government House.
This development comes after Shuaibu withdrew his lawsuit before the Federal High Court last week to block what he claimed were machinations by the state governor, Godwin Obaseki, to have him removed from office.
Near the Government House, at No. 7 Dennis Osadebey Avenue, is where the new office is located.

A letter from the Head of Service to the Permanent Secretary, Office of the Deputy Governor asking her to oversee the transfer of civil personnel and files to the new office, according to sources close to the deputy governor, was supplied to Channels Television, according to sources.
Additionally, it was learned that the new office lacks electricity, is flooded, and has extremely little office spaces, rendering it uninhabitable.
The state administration had insisted that the deputy governor’s new office be located inside the boundaries of the building known as the Government House, though.
