The party executive committee at the ward level charged Boss Mustapha of failing to support the APC in Adamawa State during the general elections of 2023.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, has been placed on administrative leave by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Gwadabawa Ward of the Yola North Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
At a press conference held at the Gwadabawa Ward office in Yola, the capital of Adamawa State, the ward’s officials announced this.
In their opinion, the SGF did not support the party in the wards during the general elections of 2023.
They said that Mustapha failed to lend a helpful hand during the state’s presidential and gubernatorial elections.
But, Abdulkarim Nuhu, the ward’s APC secretary, did not specify when the ban will expire.
Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate, originates from the state of Adamawa.
Atiku easily trounced his two primary rivals, Bola Tinubu of the APC and Peter Obi of the Labour Party, in the February 25 presidential election.
The PDP candidate received 417,611 votes overall, compared to Tinubu’s 182,881 and Obi’s 105,645 votes. With 8,006 votes, New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) member Rabiu Kwankwaso placed a distant fourth.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state ruled the March 18 gubernatorial election inconclusive after Aishatu Dahiru, better known by his stage name Binani, of the APC, won with 390,275 votes against incumbent Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of the PDP’s 421,524.
