SGF Calls for History to Return to Schools Amid IPAC Report

Senator George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, has responded to a recently released film initiated by IPAC’s leadership.

Since 1999, “Unbroken: Two and Half Decades” has been a documentary that explores Nigeria’s social, political, and economic challenges throughout its journey.

During a courtesy visit to the Presidential Villa on Monday, IPAC’s Executive Council members led by its National Chairman Yusuf Mamman Dantalle were informed of the SGF’s views on the movie.

The SGF praised the IPAC leaders for their project and guaranteed them government assistance in ensuring that the movie would be accessible to both Nigerians from previous generations as well as newer ones.

Emphasizing the significance of protecting both the emerging democracy and its history, he made a point.

His view was that “History” should be reintroduced into the school curriculum as a subject.

The efforts of IPAC were lauded by Senator Akume, who commended the organization for its historic role in preserving the nation’s democratic values.

Dan Nwanyanwu, a barrister and the Chairman of the Steering Committee for both 25 Years Democracy and “Unbroken: Two and Half Decades” film emphasized additional justifications as to why it is crucial for the government to prioritize this initiative at a national level.

Dr. Chris Oge Kalu, a Public Relations Consultant for IPAC, emphasized the significance of the film’s release timing and its availability on multiple global platforms. He ensured it would create a positive impact worldwide showcasing great importance.

The goal of the documentary film, which has been carefully conceptualized, is to showcase Nigeria’s significant accomplishments as well as its obstacles in an effort to reshape the country’s image.

“Unbroken: Two and a Half Decades” is scheduled to be available for streaming on various global platforms such as CNN, Netflix, and Amazon.

According to the Permanent Secretary in the office of SGF, there will be support from the SGF’s office towards a project aimed at national reorientation.

The chairman of IPAC National, Yusuf Dantalle expressed appreciation to the SGF for according them an audience and guaranteed that they would deliver excellent production in line with worldwide regulations.

The council expressed gratitude for the government’s backing and anticipated a triumphant commencement of the project.
