Seyi Law Urges Consideration for the Underprivileged Amid Tinubu’s Cybersecurity Levy Advocacy

Nigerian comedian Seyi Law expressed his dissatisfaction with the recent introduction of a 0.5% cybersecurity levy by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

He deemed the policy unacceptable and called on the apex bank to reconsider it.

Seyi Law also tagged President Bola Tinubu, urging him to prioritize the welfare of the masses and questioning when the new minimum wage would be announced and implemented.

He criticized government agencies for not effectively communicating with citizens and allowing misinformation to spread.

Seyi Law emphasized that a 0.5% charge is too burdensome for Nigerians and may discourage banking transactions.

He called for a review of the policy and expressed frustration with additional charges such as stamp duty.

Seyi Law concluded by stating that it is unacceptable for such policies to be implemented while the new minimum wage remains undisclosed and some ministers are not performing their duties effectively.
