The 60MVA transformer’s bulk power supply will be temporarily interrupted as a result of the activity, the company claimed.
There will be a blackout in Rivers State on Saturday between 9 am and 4 pm while maintenance work is being done at the Transmission Company of Nigeria’s (TCN) transmission substation in Port Harcourt.
In a statement on Saturday, the company disclosed the information.
The statement read: “The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) hereby states that maintenance work is being carried out on its 60MVA 132/33kV transformer at Elelenwo Transmission Substation, Port Harcourt, today, Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 9 am to 4 pm for seven (7) hours only.”
The 60MVA transformer’s bulk power supply will be temporarily interrupted as a result of the activity, according to TCN.
As a result, the Port Harcourt DisCo would be unable to offtake power for later distribution to its customers in BORI, RSTV, IGBO ETCHE, ELEME PETROL CHEMICAL LTD, ONNE, TIMBER, OYIGBO, KOMKOM, and NDOKI for seven (7) hours only on the specified today.
“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may give the electricity users who reside in the designated locations. The bulk power supply would be reinstated as promised, it continued.
