Serie A: Osimhen is waiting for medical approval before traveling to Atalanta with Napoli

Victor Osimhen, a forward for Napoli, is awaiting medical clearance before the team travels to Atalanta this weekend.

Since suffering a hamstring injury while on international duty last month, Osimhen has been sidelined.

Last week, the Nigerian underwent a customised workout and training session.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that in the next two days, Napoli’s medical staff will try to expedite his recuperation in time for Saturday’s matchup with Atalanta.

For the match scheduled to take place at the Gewiss Stadium, the 24-year-old is anticipated to be a member of Napoli’s squad.

In his eight league games for the Partenopei this season, Osimhen has six goals.
