Victor Osimhen was justified, according to Napoli captain Giovanni De Lorenzo, to fly to Marrakech, Morocco, the night before the team’s UEFA Champions League matchup versus Braga.
On Monday, Osimhen travelled to Marrakech to accept his Men’s Player of the Year award at the CAF Awards 2023.

After the ceremony, the 24-year-old went back to Naples and was included in the starting lineup for the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona match against Braga.
The second goal of the game for the Partenopei was scored by the Nigerian international.
As reported by Napoli Magazine, Di Lorenzo stated, “It was a prize of great importance and it was right that he went to collect it. Travelling doesn’t lead to tiredness.”
“I’m intrigued by what he brings on the field and in training; his dedication and demeanour are evident to all. It’s great to see him back to scoring goals; it’s crucial for him.
