Senator Ali Ndume, former Senate Chief Whip, faced further trouble on Wednesday after being stripped of his position as Vice Chairman of the Appropriation Committee by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

The news source, OBASANJONEWS24, reported that Ndume has been appointed as the new head of the Senate Committee on Tourism.

The reshuffling of the Senate standing committees was followed by this.

Earlier on Wednesday, it was announced that Senator Ndume of Borno State had been stripped of his position as the Chief Whip in Senate and would be replaced by Senator Tahir Mungono from Borno North.

Earlier, OBASANJONEWS24 had reported that Ndume was removed due to his recent criticism of the administration led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a recent interview with journalists, he claimed that Tinubu lacks awareness of events beyond the Presidential Villa.

The assertion from Ndume was that the President had been confined and restricted, with an additional statement indicating that avaricious individuals were solely focused on exploiting national resources within his administration.
