Gov Bala Mohammed’s government is under fire as a Bauchi senator levels corruption charges against the administration.

Shehu Buba, the Senator of Bauchi South in the National Assembly, has strongly criticized Governor Bala Mohammed for alleged corruption and mismanagement that have resulted in impoverishing citizens of Bauchi State.

Senator Buba, addressing an audience at the All Progressives Congress Next Level office in Bauchi, expressed his confidence in the party’s triumph for the August 17 local government elections.

He attributed this to what he called PDP’s ineffective governance and presented the APC flags to its candidates during a ceremony.

Buba declared that the PDP’s maladministration in Bauchi State, which is causing poverty among citizens and rampant corruption within its government, will not hinder our election victory.

According to the Senator, numerous Bauchi residents have been negatively affected by the PDP’s governance.

He stressed that the APC is not solely geared towards claiming victory in the forthcoming municipal polls. Instead, they are also making preparations for the 2027 national elections.

He confidently affirmed, “With divine support, we’re equipped for this election.”

Buba, the senator, refuted assertions that Bauchi residents’ difficulties were caused by federal-level APC policies and instead faulted the PDP-led government in the state for them.

He lashed out at the Bauchi State government for its failure to recognize and allocate federal aids aimed at easing the populace’s agony.

Buba alleged that the Bala Mohammed-led government operates like a one-man show and caused hardship in Bauchi. Despite providing 20 trucks of rice for distribution in Bauchi State, it is unclear where the rice ended up.

Additionally, three months ago, 70 trucks of guinea corn and fertilizer were sent from the federal ministry of agriculture to be distributed freely but were instead sold at N50,000 each.

On August 17, the Senator urged the residents of Bauchi State to turn up in great numbers and vote for APC. He affirmed his belief that their party would triumph.

Hon. Mohammed Hassan Tilde, the acting Chairman of Bauchi State APC, alleged that the PDP is planning to commit electoral fraud like it did in 2019 elections while giving his speech.

He guaranteed party members that they are completely ready to resist any dishonest attempts and protect their votes.

He stated that the APC is competing with candidates for all of the 20 chairmanship and 323 councilorship positions in the imminent local government elections, exhibiting optimism that his party will dominate.
