Senate will be on recess until July
The plenary session of the Senate was deferred on Tuesday until July 2, 2024.
The goal of the development is to give the legislators the opportunity to take part in the events commemorating Democracy Day in 2024 and the end of the legislative session.
This was declared by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during the plenary meeting on Tuesday.

On Thursday, June 13, the 10th National Assembly will mark one year in office.
The Senate approved N1.911 trillion as the Niger Delta Development Commission’s (NDDC) statutory budget for 2024 prior to the announcement.
After debating the NDDC committee report in plenary, the Senate passed the budget.
